3 Jazz bars in Florianópolis to transport you to NY without leaving home

When I talk about Jazz, it's impossible not to be transported to the New York setting of Woody Allen's films, not to remember the 360 bar in Casablanca, the glamour of Sinatra, Kerouac and Ginsberg who used jazz as inspiration for improvised and spontaneous writing, or Paul Desmond's alto saxophone in Take Five, one of the most beautiful solos in history.

And I want you to keep this scenario in mind because today I'm going to introduce you to three of my favorite jazz bars in Florianópolis that exude this atmosphere, starting with Jazzin.

Jazzin is located in the central region of Florianópolis. Inspired by Chicago's late nights, it has a modern and elegant atmosphere with a view of Beira Mar Norte. When you arrive, you'll be greeted by a setting worthy of a movie: a red carpet, a large stage with a grand piano and dim lighting. The restaurant has an original drinks menu and also serves classic cocktails. The gastronomic menu is wonderful with starters, salads, risottos, pastas and fine cuts of meat. Another Gastrobar that I absolutely love is St. Claire. The bar is located in Pátio Milano, in the central area of Florianópolis. It has impeccable architecture, designed by Gabriel Bordin, with a 360 bar, dim lighting, lots of greenery and velvet sofas. The drinks menu is varied, with well-balanced and tasteful drinks, and the cuisine is unique - led by Chef Fábio Coelho. Dishes range from R$40 to R$150, and a glass of wine and drinks start at R$30. Jazz shows also take place on specific days and it is always a good idea to book in advance. The bar does not charge a cover charge. If you are alone or prefer a more private spot, the bar counter is a great option. If you are traveling with someone or want to have a better view of the show, the tables in the dining room are more appropriate. And last but not least is Delfino146.

The gastrobar is also located in the central region of Florianópolis, in an old mansion from 1917. The place is sophisticated, has many artistic references, with a small art gallery, library and a more intimate atmosphere that is somewhat reminiscent of New York speakeasies, especially the basement, where the shows take place. At Delfino you definitely feel like you are in an art club!

The menu includes starters, dishes to share, salads, main courses with seafood, meats and risottos, as well as vegetarian and vegan options and desserts. The cocktails are signature and the restaurant also serves reinterpretations of classics, as well as shots, beers, wines and sparkling wines. The food and drink options are vast and everything is very tasty. The prices of the dishes range from R$15 to R$130 (the salmon salad is sensational! Order it). The prices of the drinks range from R$30 to R$800. The highest prices are for imported wines and sparkling wines. (Menu available here).
